- Montsegur (06:35)
The first christian Crusade ever.
By the beginning of the 13th century the Roman Church started battling against a heresy that spread throughout southern France, the gnostic sect of th Cathars, toppling the church's throne in the occitan region. The so called "Albigensian Crusade" almost completely eradicated the Cathars, who's last capter ended in a conflagration at the foothills of their castle Montsegur.
- 1187 (07:59)
This song mainly refers to the events of the Battle of Hattin on the 4th of July 1187, due to which the Crusader armies were fatally decimated, Jerusalem fell and the crusades met their preliminary end.
- Friday the 13th (04:23)
Friday the 13th of October 1307 remained a fatal day throughout centuries, yet hardly anyone knows about its origin. A nocturnal secret police action ordered by Philipp IV seemingly wiped out the whole order of Knights Templar in France, exposing their members to severe torture and the burning on the stake, dissolving the order worldwide.
